Hours: Full-time, 37 hours | Permanent

Draken believes in fair reward and recognition for our employees. As such, we offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including up to 12% matching pension contributions, bonus incentives, discounted private medical insurance, an electric car scheme, tech vouchers, wellbeing programmes and much more.

About the Role

We are seeking a practical and detail-focused Stores Inspector to support the safe, accurate and efficient operation of our stores function. Reporting to the Logistics & Stores Manager, you will help ensure parts, tooling, consumables and customer-owned stock are controlled, inspected, stored and issued correctly to meet operational requirements.

You will carry out goods-inwards inspections in line with company procedures, maintain accurate inventory records, manage shelf-life-controlled items and support compliant dispatch, import and export activities. You will also help maintain secure, clean and well-organised storage areas while consistently following safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with Draken safety standards, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Receive, inspect, locate and issue parts using the company inventory management system.
  • Carry out goods-inwards inspections in line with company procedures and verify deliveries against documentation and order requirements.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, transactions and part labelling.
  • Control company tooling and maintain associated tooling databases.
  • Manage customer-owned stock, consumables, COSHH cupboards and aircraft ground support items.
  • Monitor shelf-life-controlled items and complete stocktakes as required.
  • Maintain secure, clean, safe and well-organised storage areas.
  • Prepare dispatch documentation and ensure goods, including dangerous goods, are packaged and labelled correctly.
  • Complete import and export requirements in accordance with current HMRC legislation and company procedures.
  • Support stores activity through forklift operations where required.
  • Attend training at Bournemouth when required and undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.

About You

We are looking for an organised and dependable stores professional with experience in a regulated or aerospace environment. You will be comfortable working accurately with inventory systems, carrying out inspections and maintaining compliance while supporting a busy operational team.

You will have:

  • Previous storekeeping experience, ideally within an aerospace environment.
  • Experience carrying out goods-inwards inspections within the aerospace industry.
  • CAA Part 145 experience.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting operational requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to following procedures.
  • A high level of accuracy and integrity in all stock activities.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
  • The initiative to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, with ideas that enhance efficiency and operational throughput.
